The Swissmar Shucker Paddy is the culmination of nearly three years of aggressive experimentation that includes over 50 prototypes. The Shucker Paddy was designed to fit ergonomically in the hand for maximum comfort and to ensure a firm grip. The handle fits in the palm of your hand almost like a pistol grip, and the three-inch, notched, stainless steel blade is where the “barrel” of the pistol would be and is sharpened on both the top and bottom, for ease of use on all types of oysters.

If you’ve ever used traditional oyster shuckers, you know that they only have one axis – that down the blade. The Shucker Paddy, however, has two – one down the blade and another down the length of the grip. This dual axis gives you a lot more leverage and power and makes oyster shucking twice as easy!
